Membership Criteria
DTSP membership is open to organizations who meet the following criteria:
- Support the purpose of the Partnership as described in the DTSP By-Laws.
- Offer a public-facing digital product or service for which it conducts trust & safety operations, or otherwise implements controls to manage content- or conduct-related risk.
- Aspire to implement in those operations the Commitments identified in the Digital Trust & Safety Partnership’s Trust & Safety Best Practices Framework.

Membership Structure and Fees
DTSP is a d/b/a entity of the Digital Trust & Safety Leadership Council, incorporated as a foundation under the laws of Delaware in April 2020. The DTSP is registered with the IRS as a 501c(6) non-profit membership organization (EIN 85-1230186).
DTSP is organized with four classes of membership: Strategic, General, Associate, and Affiliate. Strategic member are entitled to designate one Board member (up to a limit of nine) and may chair committees and working groups. Strategic members and General members are entitled to vote; Associate membership provides observer status. Companies applying for membership at the Strategic class are entitled to designate one Board member.

Affiliate Membership Criteria
Affiliate Membership, the privileges of which are described in the amended DTSP By-laws Section 2.6, is
intended to provide access to non-public DTSP resources without the ability to participate in Committees
and Working Groups. Affiliate Membership is open to organizations whose work or research directly relates
to trust and safety, and who make a good-faith commitment to support the purpose of the partnership.
This includes companies whose main business is providing trust and safety related tools and services to
other companies.
