Washington, DC – The Digital Trust & Safety Partnership (DTSP) is proud to announce that it has been approved for Category A Liaison status with the joint committee of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) responsible for artificial intelligence standards, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42.
This Category A status allows DTSP to make effective contributions to the committee’s work, providing the Partnership with access to all relevant documentation and meetings invitations. By working with the international standards committee for AI, DTSP will encourage the adoption of trust and safety standards for AI products and services, work to ensure that safety standards for AI reflect DTSP’s best practices and standards, and vice versa.
DTSP is an approved Publicly Available Specification (PAS) submitter, and its Safe Framework Specification was published as ISO/IEC 25389, the first broad international standard for trust and safety, in June 2025.
DTSP also serves as a Category A liaison to SC 27, the subcommittee responsible for information security, cybersecurity, and privacy protection, where the Partnership has contributed to international standards for age assurance.
DTSP is a unique initiative focused on promoting a safer and more trustworthy internet. The Partnership is committed to developing, using and promoting industry best practices, assessment methods, and international standards, to ensure consumer trust and safety when using digital services.
